Unlike cloud-based AI services, EKHOS AI processes all transcripts, audio, and video files locally on your device. Your private data is never uploaded to the cloud or used for external processing. This ensures you retain full control over your data and enhances your privacy.

7. Cookies and Tracking

Cookies may be used for functionality and to gather usage statistics via Google Analytics. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, but this may affect some features of our Services.

9. Data Privacy

Local Processing and Complete Offline Operation

All audio, video, and transcript data are processed entirely on the user’s device. EKHOS AI does not transmit user content to our servers or to any third parties during transcription processing.

EKHOS AI is designed to function fully offline for transcription. An internet connection is required only for:

Periodic account login verification (every 30 days for Premium users)
Checking for software updates
Downloading of speech alignment AI models only if the languages are not English, German, French, Spanish, and Italian

No background network requests are performed to store, mirror, cache, or transmit user content during transcription or file processing. Users may even disconnect from the internet while processing files without affecting functionality.

All transcription and AI processing occur locally on your computer. AI models are installed during setup, and EKHOS AI remains fully operational even without an active internet connection.

Local Storage & Encryption

All user-generated content — including transcripts and audio files — remains on the local device and within its local database. EKHOS AI does not cache, mirror, or store transcripts, audio, or video outside of the user’s system.

Transcripts are securely stored in a local SQL database and are encrypted at rest. They are decrypted only by the EKHOS AI application when accessed within the software interface. Since all processing takes place locally, no data is transmitted externally during transcription.

No AI Model Training

EKHOS AI does not use user transcripts, audio, video, or metadata to train AI models. AI models are pre-installed during setup, and no transcript data is collected or analyzed for machine learning or model improvement purposes.

No Telemetry on User Content

EKHOS AI does not collect telemetry, usage analytics, or metadata related to user files or transcripts. Standard application error logs may be generated locally for troubleshooting; however, these logs remain on the user’s device and do not contain transcript or audio content.

Secure & Trusted Distribution

EKHOS AI is officially distributed through the Microsoft Store. Each release undergoes Microsoft’s certification and security validation process. The application operates within a sandboxed environment designed to help protect user data and maintain overall system security.

Minimal Data Collection

We require only a full name and email address for account registration. No additional personal information is collected beyond what is necessary for account management and subscription validation.

Login Sessions

Premium users stay logged in for up to 30 days before needing to reauthenticate, unless they have enabled a local password or login authentication. Free users, however, may be prompted to log in more frequently.
